What should I do if I want to reset the phone number or device used for MFA?

To reset the phone number or device used for MFA, your MFA setup needs to be reset first. This can be done by the Account Owner of your company's tenant. Account Owners can now reset MFA for their company's users by,

  • Clicking their Avatar on the top right.

  • Select "Company Settings".

  • Navigate to "Colleagues/User Management" on the left pane.

  • Click on the "vertical ellipsis" on the far right of the user.

  • Select "Manage Sign in methods".

  • Click Reset for the 2-step verification methods.

If you are an Account Owner, you cannot reset the MFA for your own account, it has to be done by another Account Owner within your tenant.

If you are your company tenant's sole Account Owner or you do not know who the account owner is, please contact CYGNVS support at support@cygnvs.com.

After resetting the MFA for your CYGNVS account, you will receive an email with the Join Now link; clicking on the Join Now link will take you to a page where you can choose a 2-step verification method as you wish and configure authenticator app on a new device or number.
