Why use a Passcode (Authenticator) App during registration?

CYGNVS uses Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) to add an extra layer of security to your account. A TOTP code changes every 30 seconds, helping protect your account even if your password is compromised.

During registration, you’ll be asked to set up a passcode using an authenticator app.
This ensures only you can access your account—even if someone else knows your password.

Supported authenticator apps

CYGNVS does not provide its own passcode app. You must use a trusted third-party authenticator app, such as:

• Microsoft Authenticator

• Google Authenticator

• Authy

You can choose the authenticator app you prefer, or use one you already have installed.
